PURPOSE
Few days ago, I was asked by a friend to help retrieve his transcript from the Academic affairs department of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi
On arriving the office, I submitted the letter from the university which the transcript was to move to. The lady in charge asked that I should get the file of this my friend.
From the array of files stacked heavily on the wooden shelf, I wasn't sure of his department.
All I know was that he studied a B. Agric course. Whether he had told me and I forgot or I wasn't told oo. I couldn't just relocate properly.
The woman pointed out the spot where all files belonging to students admitted in the session this my friend belonged to me and I went to work.
45 minutes gone down, I was still disarraying these files, my eyes munching every file I flipped pass. I succeeded in pulling down every file on that spot.
At this point, the joints in my waist had no strength to comply with me again.
The woman noticed and asked me if I was sure of his department. I confidently responded "Yes". I told a lie. Pride detected.
She not being very comfortable with my answer, insisted that I should confirm again from my friend by calling
Like a stubborn he goat freed from it's tight neck rope, I felt gladdened.
I walked out of the office and made a call to him. I returned back and now armed with full information.
A man who quietly sat in the office observing my strenuous work inquired and I told him the guy was from Forestry. He pointed me to the spot which contained the files for Wildlife and Range Management graduates.
This time, within spilt seconds, I located the exact sub file in the big file.
She smiled at me and said "finally". I smiled back at her handed it to her.
What moral do I and you need to pick from this.

I set out on something I didn't know, it wasted my time, pained my waist and frustrated my life
In this life, if you don't know what exactly you are looking for, you will be confused and frustrated unnecessarily in this journey of a few years.
While they are so many cynics to scorn and jeer at your fears, they are a few God sent sincerely poised to help you. Don't act up with that proud look. Give your time and resources to listen and learn from them. You will become better going forward.
My friend told me his course but the man in the office knew exactly where the file was.
Listen, In everything you set out to do in this, they are people who have gone that your way before. Allow them to mentor you. Get to listen to them through tapes, books and live seminars. They will help shorten your learning curve and get you knowing the ropes fast.
I went out and made a call to that my friend to seek proper clarification even though he told me earlier.
See, sometimes you've got to push this thing called social media aside, get away from noise and the buzz of the rushy traffics of friends and work and then, seek a friend(If you have the Holy spirit, He is always a friend, a helper and guide when you are confused) to help you declutter your mind and heart.
You must be however sincere to yourself to get what you really desire.
If you don't know what you want to cough out of the tight fists of this big life, you will be frustrated to even lieing. I lied to the woman but thank God, she help could still help me.
Do you really think you know what you want? No? Yes?
Listen, your Maker knows what He wants you to accomplish. Get to Him, figure this out and then get on the track.
Your journey is not on this noise street of social media.
God loves you and there is nothing you can do about that.
PS: This is a refined piece, inspired by a true life story.
Ibrahim my friend first shared it.
