TIME....A Poem
Tick and tock it kicks
Briskly it wanders away
Keeping a date with its
destination
In between it's fists lies births
and deaths
Respected for it's venerability
and impartiality
Slow and steady it evolves, from
past to future eternity
Churning up days into weeks,
Weeks into months and
Months into years
Defined by physicists as what the
clock reads
But weightier than what a device
reads
Innocently it crawls passing
moments and seasons
Wordless it passes, waiting for no
one
Too slow for those who wait
Almost too swift for the fearful
Mercilessly it deals with an
unrepentant sinner
Almost unending for those who
grieve
Prominently it features in the
life of every human
The definer of purpose
Opening up opportunities for the
wise
Devouring the same for the unwise
Proficiently invested in by the
prudent
Squandered without apologies by
the witless
The prudent looks out for it's
quick going
The lamebrained craves to waste
its coming
It has no need for desire and
emotion
But what it encompasses does
Seemingly unfair and uncaring to
all
But it has ONE GRAVE purpose
To see WHAT YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT
So, like some folks will always
put, time is like money, you spent it
But don't just spending it on
frivolities
Lovely poem Gabriel, keep it up
